The movie shattered numerous box-office records within the Telugu film industry. With earnings surpassing ₹330 crore (US$41 million), it has secured its place as the second highest-grossing Indian film of 2024, the top-grossing Telugu film of the year, and the eighth highest-grossing Telugu film globally.

The story of Telugu movie ‘Hanuman’ unfolds in the make-believe village of Anjanadri and marks the inception of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). In this imaginary setting of Anjanadri, the film delves into the tale of Hanumanthu, who receives the divine power of Lord Hanuman to protect the villagers. His journey intertwines with a confrontation against Michael, triggered by his encounter with a mystical gem.
