Mission Chapter 1 – Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye premiered in theaters on January 12, 2024, on the occasion of Pongal. Having opened to positive reviews from cinema lovers and critics, Mission Chapter 1 features Arjun Vijay as Gunasekhar, aka Guna, alongside Nimisha Sajayan and Amy Jackson. A. L. Vijay has penned and directed the film, with Lyca Productions producing it.
The movie revolves around a father captured in a prison outside India. He desperately wants to escape from prison to meet his daughter, who is suffering from a disease. The story unfolds how the father takes his daughter to the UK for treatment and what hindrances he faces in saving her life.
Numerous reports have been circulating regarding its OTT release since its theatrical release. Earlier reports claimed that the action-drama was set to premiere on February 16 on Netflix. However, lead actor Arjun Vijay recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to address fans’ concerns about the OTT release.

Since his tweet dismissed the speculations from earlier reports, it confused fans about expecting the movie’s digital release. Although the actor hinted that SunNXT has acquired the OTT rights, the official confirmation from the platform is awaited. Thus, fans have to wait a little longer to witness Gunasekhar’s thrilling journey.
