Dulquer Salmaan is a popular Malayalam actor who has achieved pan-Indian recognition. He is a well-known figure in the Telugu film industry as well.
He had two Telugu hits: Mahanati and Sita Ramam. He is currently acting in another Telugu film, Lucky Baskhar. He is focusing more on his Telugu career.
He reportedly walked out of Mani Ratnam’s “Thug Life” due to a lack of dates. The shooting of “Thug Life” has been delayed, which will disrupt his shooting schedule for “Lacky Baskhar”. He preferred director Venky Atluri’s film to Mani Rantam’s. Simbu has joined the team in place of Dulquer.
Dulquer Salmaan is also in talks with two other major Telugu production houses about future projects.
