Movies in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam have gained immense popularity due to the presence of subtitles making it easier for everyone to watch and enjoy them. Furthermore, the captivating storylines, brilliant acting performances and stunning cinematography add to the appeal. Many exciting Telugu movies made an impact at the box office with their theatrical release and now, they are making their way to OTT platforms like Netflix, Aha, disney+ Hotstar and others.

1. Asuraguru (Aha)
The Tamil film Asura Guru, starring Vikram Prabhu and Mahima Nambiar, is set to release in Telugu (dubbed version) on Aha OTT on May 3. Directed by Rajdeep, the action thriller follows Shakti (Vikram Prabhu), a thief who steals from the wealthy to help the common people. Mahima Nambiar plays Divya, who initially tries to expose Shakti but later joins forces with him. Despite featuring twists and an engaging storyline, the film failed at the box office due to its predictable nature. Subbaraju and Yogi Babu also have key roles in the movie.
The Telugu dubbed version of the Malayalam film Pranaya Vilasam premiered on ETV Win on May 2, 2024. Directed by Nikhil Muraly, the romantic drama stars Mamitha Baiju, Arjun Ashokan, and Anaswara Rajan. The film, which was originally released on February 24, 2023, in Malayalam, features music by Shaan Rahman. Pranaya Vilasam marks the reunion of the lead actors from Super Sharanya. Pranaya Vilasam revolves around the theme of first love, portraying it as a timeless emotion that remains alive in one's heart.
Siddharth Roy is a Telugu movie, directed by Yashaswi, and is set to release on the Aha OTT platform on May 3rd, after its theatrical release on February 23rd. Starring Deepak Saroj as the lead alongside Tanvi Negi, the film tells the story of Siddharth Roy, a man driven by logic until he meets Indu, played by Tanvi Negi, who changes his perspective on life. Despite high expectations, the film received mixed reviews, with praise for the performances but criticism for the storyline. The movie is produced by Jaya Adapaka, Pradeep Pudi and Sudhakar with Radhan composing the music and Praveen Pudi editing.

Yash Puri's Happy Ending, directed by Kowshik Bheemidi, tells the story of Harsh, cursed by a godman in childhood so that anyone he gets close to or fantasizes about dies. The Telugu movie will be available for streaming on Aha from May 3, 2024.

The upcoming Telugu movie Revolver Rita has sparked curiosity as it shares its title with a 1970 film starring Vijayalalitha and Jothilakshmi. The 2024 hit Malayalam movie Manjummel Boys will also be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from May 5, 2024 in Telugu and other languages. Fans are eagerly waiting for the movie's OTT release. The movie, a survival drama, follows 10 friends on an adventurous trip to the Guna caves in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu which soon turns scary!

Line Man is a film helmed by V. Raghu Shastri, featuring Trigun in the lead role. Produced by Purple Rock Entertainers, the movie also stars Kajal Kunder as the female lead. Despite its release in both Telugu and Kannada languages in March, the film failed to perform well at the box office. However, it is now set to entertain audiences on the OTT platform. The movie was available for streaming in Kannada on some local digital platform but now its Telugu version is availble for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from May 3, 2024 (with English subtitles).
The story revolves around Nataraju, also known as Nuttu (played by Trigun), who inherits his father's job as a line man in the Satthupalli Electricity Department of Khammam district. With the responsibility of ensuring electricity supply to the village, Nuttu becomes a crucial figure in the community. The village's revered figure, Devotamma (played by B. Jayashree), is about to celebrate her 100th birthday, and the entire town is gearing up for the occasion. However, Nuttu decides to withhold the electricity supply, leading to confusion and intrigue among the villagers. The film explores the reasons behind Nuttu's decision and the villagers' response to this unexpected turn of events.
The small-budget movie Sriranga Neethulu, directed by Praveen Kumar VSS, features Suhas, Ruhani Sharma, Viraj Ashwin and Karthik Rathnam in prominent roles. The story revolves around four characters facing various challenges in life. Suhas portrays a TV mechanic, while Karthik Rathnam's character struggles with drug addiction. Viraj Ashwin and Ruhani Sharma's characters are in a long-term relationship. Sriranga Neethulu delves into the issues these individuals face and how they navigate through them. The Telugu movie is reportedly set to be available for streaming on an OTT platform in the first week of May or by mid-May. However, the specific OTT platform has not yet been announced.
