Prime Video has added Aavesham, a Malayalam action-comedy film to its ever-growing slate of regional language titles in India. Aavesham is a box-office blockbuster that garnered praise for its engaging narrative, performances, rib-tickling comedy and action sequences. The film, which first released in theatres on April 11, is now available to stream exclusively on Prime Video in India and over 240 countries and territories.

Aavesham is written and directed by Jithu Madhavan with music composed by Sushin Shyam. Headlined by Fahadh Faasil, the film also features Sajin Gopu, Mansoor Ali Khan, Hipzster, Mithun Jai Shankar, Roshan Shanavas, Midhutty and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles.

Set in Bangalore, Aavesham is the story of a kind-hearted gangster, Ranga (Fahadh Faasil) and the comical series of events that befall his fiefdom. When three aeronautical engineering students hailing from Kerala—Aju (Hipzter), Bibi (Shankar) and Shantha (Shanavas)—choose to stay at the BK Hostel instead of college accommodations, little do they know that their desire for freedom will land them in trouble with college seniors and eventually propel them into Ranga’s orbit. The turn of events sparks a comedy of errors and an unlikely friendship that not only takes them down an unpredictable path of conflicts and alliances but also disrupts the students’ academic aspirations and personal lives.
“Playing the flamboyant and unusual character of Ranga in Aavesham has been a complete riot. It is an unconventional film with a compelling storyline and characters that bring the story to life in a way that you can’t stop watching until the very end. The love that the film has been receiving at the box-office is a testament to the appreciation of the audience and critics alike,” says Fahadh Faasil.
Director Jithu Madhavan says, “It has been a privilege to have written and directed Aavesham. Fahadh and all the artists who have worked on the film, be it in front of the camera or behind it, have done a phenomenal job. The reaction of the audience to the film in cinemas is a reflection and a fitting reward for the efforts that have been put into making the film. And I am looking forward to having even more people all over the world watch and enjoy the film when it streams exclusively on Prime Video.
