If reliable sources are to be believed, leading producers-turned-distributors Mythri Movie Makers are reportedly planning to distribute much-hyped action film ‘Devara’ in Nizam region in October. “They are in discussions with the makers of Jr NTR’s magnum opus and would be clinching the deal sooner than later,” says a source. He claims Mythri Movie Makers have tasted big success as distributors with ‘Salaar and ‘HanuMan’ and are now rating to go. “They are going to buy upcoming star-studded movies and make their mark in the Nizam region since they are quite good in getting good theaters and drawing good openings,” he adds.
After leading producers like Suresh Babu, Allu Arvind and Dil Raju , it is now the turn of another production house Mythri Movie Makers to take over theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. “Mythri Movie Makers have more than 150-odd theatres in two Telugu states,” says a source and adds, ‘They are turning exhibitors to have better control over theatres and release their films without any fuss,’ he adds.
Earlier, they turned distributors with ‘Salaar’ and ‘HanuMan’ and tasted success and planned to distribute more Telugu films in the days to come. “Hence, they want to expand their theatre network in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana so as to have a good number of single screens,” he points out. Producers Naveen Yerneni and Yallamachili Ravi Shankar are holding talks with other owners of single screens in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh." he concludes
Apart from producing the much-awaited 'Pushpa The Rise' and also announcing a big ticket film with Vijay Devarakonda, the producers are also expanding their footprint in the distribution business as well.
