Women have been ruling pop music for a while, but it seems like 2024 is about to hit different.
All in the last few months, several huge megastars — all of them women — have announced new albums, and we are looking forward to dancing and jamming to pop girlies all year long!
Here’s a look at 20 of the pop icons releasing new albums this year.
1. Ariana Grande - Eternal Sunshine
Ariana Grande's 7th studio album is her first since 2020's Positions. Grande released the first single, "Yes, And?" in January, scoring her eighth number-one single. The album features 13 tracks, and is 35 minute long in total. Eternal Sunshine comes out March 8.
2. Kacey Musgraves - Deeper Well
Musgrave's upcoming 6th album, Deeper Well, is coming out this March 15. She performed two of the songs, "Too Good to Be True" and "Deeper Well," on Saturday Night Live and teased the project in a commercial during the 66th Grammy Awards.
3. Tyla - Tyla
After winning the inaugural Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance for her song "Water," South African singer Tyla is releasing her debut, self-titled album on March 22.
4. Shakira - Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran
Colombian superstar Shakira is back with her first studio release in seven years, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women Don't Cry Anymore). Releasing on March 22, the album features collaborations with Cardi B, Bizarrap, Rauw Alejandro, Ozuna, Karol G, and Grupo Frontera, among others.
5. Beyoncé - Act II
Following up 2022’s Act I: Renaissance, Beyoncé announced Act II in a teaser released after a Super Bowl commercial she did for Verizon. She also released two lead singles, “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which has already hit number one on the Billboard chart. The album is going to be a country album, inspired by the real history of Black cowboys. The album will be released on March 29.
6. Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department
When she won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights earlier this year, Swift announced that she had been keeping a secret: she has an all-new album coming out this spring! The Tortured Poets Department features sixteen songs, including collaborations with Post Malone and Florence and the Machine, and will be released April 19.
7. Sia - Reasonable Woman
Sia hasn’t released a regular album since 2016’s This Is Acting (she released the Christmas album Everyday Is Christmas and the soundtrack to her movie Music in 2017 and 2021) so we’re beyond excited to hear what she’s been cooking up! Sia has released two songs from the album, “Gimme Love” and “Dance Alone,” a collaboration with Kylie Minogue. Reasonable Woman will be released May 3.
8. FKA Twigs
FKA Twigs announced that her next album, a techno inspired album, will be released this year. On her Discord server, she told fans, “I moved to Prague a couple summers ago, fell in love with techno. The album isn’t techno, but the spirit is there fr.” She also said the album is “coming out this year,” and “it’s deep but not that sad” because she says “I’m not that sad anymore.”
9. Kesha
Kesha is teasing new music with a new Instagram post that shows her bathing naked in a river in a trippy video with lots of light blur as she sings “I’ve been waiting for you.” The post invites fans to go to keshaiswaitingforyou.com where there’s another naked picture of her and you can sign up for updates.
10. HAIM

HAIM has been teasing a new album since way back in January 2023. At that time, the band posted a TikTok where Este and Danille were pulling their sister Alana into the music studio. “When your sisters are making you get back in the studio but you were born to be an Oscar award winning actress,” the text read in reference to Alana’s role in the film Licorice Pizza.
Later that year, the band said “we’ve been working with some cool people” including Jai Paul and that the album would be “hopefully” coming soon.11. Dua Lipa
Lipa had a huge year with “Dance the Night” from the Barbie soundtrack in 2023, and in 2024, she’s gearing up to release a new album. Her untitled third album is slated for release in late 2024, and she’s already released the singles “Houdini” and “Training Season.”
12. Normani
Normani has been teasing her first solo album after leaving Fifth Harmony since way back in 2018!!! Finally this year, we’ve gotten an update, and Dopamine will be released soon! Normani posted the album title and cover art on her social media.
13. Billie Eilish
Following the success of the Oscar-nominated track "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie film, Eilish is set to release more new material in 2024.
14. Katy Perry

According to a source that spoke with The Sun newspaper, Perry, who has been performing at her Vegas residency, is hard at work on her 7th studio album, which will be “her most personal album ever” and that she plans on taking the album on a world tour.
Perry also teased the album in August of 2023 at one of her concerts, telling her fans, “If you can’t love me at my Witness and Smile era, then you can’t love me in my KP6 era.”15. Selena Gomez
At the end of 2023, Gomez said that her third studio album would be coming out “in 2 months,” and while that hasn’t happened, she has released the new single “Love On.” However, she recently told Rolling Stone that the new album won’t sound much like that song and that she “hopes” it will be out in 2024.
16. Megan Thee Stallion
Earlier this year, Megan Thee Stallion got her first unaccompanied Billboard number one hit with “Hiss,” and she says she’s working on a new album. “The Hot Girl Summer tour is gonna be 2024 summer time. I feel like I've never been able to be outside doing my own thing during the summer, since like 2019, so this is gonna be the first time I drop an album on time for the summer. I do want to give the hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience,” she said on Good Morning America.
17. SZA
SZA is hot off a year that included the number one album SOS and nine Grammy nominations, but is hard at work getting ready to release a new deluxe album, Lana (after her first name Solána). She’s released several covers for the album on Instagram, and told Variety that the album started off as SOS B-sides, but “became more than I thought.”
18. Ice Spice
Ice Spice broke big in 2023, and we’ve all been eagerly awaiting the release of her debut album, which she’s titled Y2K. On March 5, she announced on her Instagram that “i finished recording y2k the album.” We can’t wait!
19. Lorde
Lorde, who rarely posts on social media, updated fans in December of 2023, saying she was “listening to myself” in a post where she wrote: “I’m just getting so hype n needed to let u know… start ur excitement on a low flame and bring it up to a gentle simmer… we building stamina for this chapter.”
20. Doja Cat - Scarlet Deluxe
Doja confirmed that she’s working on a deluxe version of her latest album Scarlet, and in an Instagram Story post, shared a list of unreleased tracks with titles like “Acknowledge me,” “Head High,” “Gang,” “Masc,” “Rider,” “Urrrge,” and “Hungry.”
She also previewed an unreleased song on Instagram Live, saying, “if you guys don’t like it, I won’t put it on the deluxe.”
