Vishnu Manchu is all set to bring his ambitious project, Kannappa, to the big screen. As the name suggests, the mythological movie will follow the story of Lord Shiva’s greatest devotee. The film was officially launched last year, but Manchu has been working on it for a long time. Fans have been waiting for a sneak peek into the movie’s plot. As the anticipation for the film grows, reports about its alleged release date window are out.
The makers of Kannappa are leaving no stone unturned in promoting the movie. They unveiled the film’s teaser at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2024. It was later digitally released and has garnered over 17 million views on YouTube.
According to a report by 123telugu.com, discussions about Kannappa’s release date have been going around. Allegedly, the makers of the movie are planning to release it in December 2024. However, the last month of the year already seems to be full, as several South Indian movies may be released during this time. Allu Arjun’s much-awaited film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, has been postponed to release on December 6, 2024. Seeing the buzz around the movie, it is expected to rule the theaters for the entire month. Moreover, rumors about the release of Ram Charan’s Game Changer and Hari Hara Veera Mallu in the same month are also going around. Therefore, due to the massive competition, Kannappa might face a delay.
However, no official confirmation regarding Kannappa’s release date has been made yet.
Kannappa is among the most-anticipated movies of the year and boasts a huge star cast. Besides Vishnu Manchu playing the titular character, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Mohanlal will be seen in cameo appearances.
Helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the movie is shot in Telugu and will be dubbed in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, and Hindi.
