Tamil actor Daniel Balaji passed away due to cardiac arrest at a private hospital in Chennai on Friday. He was 48. According to reports, Daniel breathed his last at a hospital in Kottivakam, where he was admitted due to chest pain.
According to Polimer News, directors Vetrimaaran and Gautham Vasudev Menon reached the hospital to pay their respects. Director Mohan Raja took to his social media handle and wrote, β€œSuch a Sad news. He Was an inspiration for me to join film institute. A very good friend. Miss working with him. May his soul rest in peace.”

Daniel Balaji began his career on the small screen, earning widespread acclaim for his role in the serial Chitthi. He went on to star in over 40 films, including Kaakha Kaakha, Polladhavan, Vettaiyadu Vilayaadu, and Vada Chennai. The actor also featured in Telugu and Malayalam movies.
Daniel will be laid to rest in Purasaiwalkam on Saturday.
