With pan-India releases becoming the norm across the country, people are now more open to watching movies made in other languages. Dubbing efforts have also played a significant role in bridging the gap between audiences of different languages.
Below is a list of films from other languages that have been expertly dubbed in Tamil and managed to strike a chord with Tamil audiences worldwide.

Premalu


Premalu stands out as one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Malayalam cinema . Despite being made on a modest budget, it raked in over Rs 100 crore from worldwide ticket sales. Penned and directed by Girish AD, the film features Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles. This romantic drama revolves around an average Joe's attempts to impress a girl who seems out of his league.

RRR


SS Rajamouli's RRR is a Telugu period drama that not only uplifted the Indian mainstream industry but also placed the Telugu film industry on the global stage. It achieved this feat by winning an Oscar for the song 'Naatu Naatu' and creating history. Set against the backdrop of British India, RRR narrates the story of two Telugu tribal leaders confronting imperial forces. The leading stars, Ram Charan and Jr NTR, even dubbed their lines for the Tamil version.

KGF: Chapter 1 and 2


KGF is a two-part gangster drama that reshaped the image of the Kannada film industry. King of Kotha


King of Kotha was touted to be the biggest film in Dulquer Salmaan's career in terms of scale and ambition.
