As many as 175 films have been released in Telugu this calendar year; the dubbed versions include around 55.
Post-Sankranthi, the summer days witnessed a dull phase of entertainment as films failed to show any strength. The audience missed that frenzy atmosphere they usually experience during hot summer days.
The noise was quite dull, with no Telugu movie earning the hearts of film buffs. Vinayaka Chavithi too didn’t augur well for producers.
Now, we just saw two big stars entering the fray for Dasara — Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari (2023) and “Mass Maharaja” Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao (2023).
In the coming season of Diwali and Christmas, there will be a star power on display at the Telugu box office because Prabhas, Nani, Kalyan Ram, Varun Tej and Nithiin are all pinning hopes on their projects releasing in November and December.
However, before the fireworks begin for Diwali, a few small films are hitting the screens.
Keeda Cola, Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam’s directorial, has already impressed film lovers with the trailer.
Panja Vaishnav Tej-starrer Adikeshava is releasing on 10 November. Touted to be an action thriller, it stars Sreeleela as the female lead.
The film is directed by Srikanth N Reddy and is produced jointly by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya.

Then comes Tamil star Karthi’s much-anticipated movie Japan. It arrives in the same month, coinciding with Diwali.
The flick will be released in dubbed versions — Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada — because the actor enjoys a massive fandom in other industries.
Japan is a heist thriller directed by Raju Murugan. It features Anu Emmanuel as the female lead.
The movie clashes with Jigarthanda Double X, which is releasing on 12 November. This Raghava Lawrence-starrer will be released in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu.
Since Lawrence has many fans in the Telugu states, Jigarthanda Double X is believed to score well at the Telugu box office.
It also stars actor SJ Suryah, Karthik Subbaraj, Santhosh Narayanan, and S Thirunavukkarasu in key roles.
Kalyan Ram’s Devil is scheduled for 24 November. So, November is expected to be a month of massive star power on display.

In the last week of December, Prabhas will more likely rule the industries across the regions as his film Salaar will hit screens on 22 December.
Before that, Sundeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal piqued the interest of all film lovers across the industries. This Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer will arrive in cinema halls on 1 December.

Nithiin’s Extra and Varun Tej’s Operation Valentine are scheduled for release on 8 December. The film marks Varun Tej’s Bollywood debut.
On the same date, Vishwak Sen will compete with others as he would come with Gangs of Godavari.
Meanwhile, Nani’s Hi Nanna is likely to be affected as it clashes with Salaar. Hi Nanna will hit the screens just a day before Salaar is releasing.
So, December is more likely to see some fireworks at the Telugu box office.
