KRG Studios, a premier film distribution and production company based in Bengaluru, announced its collaboration with renowned filmmaker Anjali Menon for an upcoming Tamil feature film.
Renowned for her acclaimed works including Bangalore Days (2014), Manjadikuru (2008), and Koode (2018), Anjali Menon’s partnership with KRG Studios is likely to create a benchmark in the Tamil industry.
This partnership marks KRG Studios’ transition from film distribution to full-scale production and aims to bridge storytelling gaps within Kannada cinema and beyond by embracing Anjali Menon’s distinctive narrative style.
Established in 2017, KRG Studios initially made a mark in studio distribution by releasing over 100 films in Karnataka.
By venturing into full-fledged production in 2020, KRG Studios gained early acclaim with Rathnan Prapancha (2021) and Gurudev Hoysala (2023), both starring Daali Dhananjaya in lead roles.

On the collaboration, filmmaker Anjali Menon said, “I am looking forward to the collaboration with KRG Studios as we share the commitment to create engaging movies built from our cultures with world-class production values.”
“Audiences are connecting beyond language boundaries to the diverse story landscapes of India, and we are keen to take them on cinematic journeys that are memorable, entertaining, and thought-provoking—all at the same time,” she added.
Karthik Gowda, producer and co-founder of KRG Studios, hoped that their collaboration with Anjali Menon would signify a new chapter for the company, where the essence of storytelling takes precedence.
“We believe in the magic of cinema, and this partnership exemplifies our dedication to crafting tales that resonate across diverse audiences and languages. Our journey in this direction began when my dear friend and seasoned entertainment executive Vijay Subramaniam and I discussed the power of narrative/concept-based stories and their influence on customers when executed well,” he explained.
“I am grateful that he, too, saw our potential and decided to collaborate with us as a mentor and co-producer. Collectively and with the help of like-minded folks like Chaitanya Hegde of Tulsea, we can build such partnerships which we hope will be special and above all to customers we serve,” Karthik Gowda signed off.
