The latest Malayalam rom-com Premalu has taken several film industries in India by storm. Featuring a simple love story of the modern era, the movie is receiving a lot of love from the audience. After initially being released in Malayalam, the movie has been dubbed in a few other languages. It revolves around a young man named Sachin who falls in love with a bubbly girl named Reenu. While their story is not a usual one, it has a more practical ending, unlike other romantic movies. Here is a list of more Malayalam rom-coms like Premalu.
Premam is undoubtedly one of the most iconic Malayalam rom-coms. It not only received critical acclaim, but its commercial success was also gigantic. Much like Premam, Hridayam is also one of the most beloved Malayalam rom-coms. Apart from all the romance and comedy, the movie is an emotional rollercoaster with a lot of drama. Hey Jude’s plot revolves around a mathematical genius named Jude. While he is an introvert, his life changes when he meets Crystal, a musician. The movie’s official synopsis reads, “The story centers around two oddball characters- one is a youngster from Fort Kochi named Jude and the other, a talented singer from Goa named Crystal.” Much like Premalu, the movie also has a couple whose personalities are poles apart yet they complete each other.
