TRENDING:
For those feeling green this spring, Mentor Public Library is hosting its annual houseplant swap where people can pick up an indoor plant, share cuttings of their own, or drop off a plant they no longer need.
The swap will be at 6:30 p.m. March 5, at Mentor Public Library’s Main Branch, 8215 Mentor Ave.
New this year — an expert from the Lake County Master Gardeners will discuss houseplant care, according to a news release. The program is open to all but registration is required at www.mentorpl.org or by calling the library at 440-255-8811, ext. 1.
On a related note, people can get free vegetable, flower and herb seeds from the Seed Library at the Main Branch. It will reopen for the planting season on March 15, and patrons can borrow up to 15 packets of seeds per season.
