The Malayalam movie Neru is based on a courtroom drama, directed by Jeethu Joseph. The film is about the complicated corners of the Indian judicial system. Neru hits theaters on December 21, 2023. The movie stars the lead cast, with Mohanlal as Advocate Vijaymohan, Priyamani as the prosecutor, and Anaswara as Sara, a blind sculptor. Besides this, the film covers the journey of Sara, who is abused by the wealthy class in her own house and seeks justice. Not only this, Sara is also a visually impaired youngster in the movie. After this incident, she is suffering from trauma.
Additionally, we learn that she cannot see, but she can sculpt and use her hands to perceive. As the story progresses, an advocate who has not fought any cases for many years comes to her aid. Further, she contends with the legal system and her resilience to find a resolution.
Neru has made an amazing mark globally, with a ranking in an estimated opening collection of around $721k. Furthermore, it has been receiving a positive response from the audience, as it marks the comeback of Mohanlal. After the theatrical release, fans are eagerly awaiting the digital premiere of this movie on the OTT platform. Recently, Disney Plus Hotstar officially announced that Neru will be exclusively streaming from January 23, 2024.
