It’s the first of the month, and you know what that means – lots of movies cycle onto and off of Netflix. Below, we’ll cover the full list of new arrivals on Netflix for July 1st, 2024.
Part of the reason there are so many new releases today is that Netflix has released part three of what it calls Movie Milestones. This series has included movies celebrating their 50th or 40th anniversaries so far in 2024, and today, it’s the turn of movies from 1994 celebrating their 30th anniversaries. We won’t cover those in-depth below as we’ve already released a post covering the Milestone Movie collection this morning.
Although Netflix added 71 new movies and series today, it ultimately lost many more titles than it gained. As we covered in our July removals list, many titles departed today, most of which were Nike training videos. They may return at some point, but that’s why we saw 98 titles depart.
Don’t forget, there’s a lot more to look forward to throughout July 2024, as we’ve covered in our comprehensive look ahead at the months’ new movies, series, and games.
Before we dive into the complete list, here are three titles we think you should be watching today and throughout the week:
Number of episodes: 20
Rating: TV-Y7
Language: English
Genre: Animation, Action, Adventure
Cast: Rylee Alazraqui, Dee Bradley Baker, Brett Gray
Writer: Dan Hageman, Kevin Hageman
Runtime: 23 mins
The second season of the animated kids’ series set in Star Trek is exclusively landing on Netflix today (although not explicitly labeled as a Netflix Original—very strange).
In case you missed it, Paramount+ opted not to release season 2 last year despite it already being already produced and ready to ship. In addition, they pulled the first season from their library. Thankfully, Netflix stepped in to guarantee a release for that second season and has been the home for season 1 since late last year.
In Season 2, the six young outcasts of the Prodigy crew embark on a new mission aboard the U.S.S. Voyager-A to rescue Captain Chakotay and restore peace to Gwyn’s home world.

Number of episodes: 10
Rating: TV-14
Language: English
Genre: Comedy, Drama
Cast: Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle
Writer: Aaron Korsh
Runtime: 44 min
Suits was in the headlines a bunch last year when it set fire to the Netflix top 10s in the US, having already resided on Netflix elsewhere for the past several years. Of course, Netflix US only managed to grab the first eight seasons with that final season locked to Prime Video for another year. Thankfully, that year is now up and all 10 final episodes are now available on Netflix US.
Here’s what you can expect going into the final batch of episodes:
“The final season of Suits centers on an evolved firm, Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams, which is facing uncertainty and change yet again after Robert Zane took the fall with the Bar Association to save Harvey. After his sacrifice, Samantha is left reeling from the loss of her mentor, and while trying to console her, Harvey realizes that he doesn’t want to lose the most important person to him: Donna.”

Rating: R
Language: English
Genre: Crime, Drama
Director: David O. Russell
Cast: Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper
Writer: Eric Warren Singer, David O. Russell
Runtime: 138 min / 2h 18m
Finally, we conclude with a movie that frequently comes and goes from Netflix, but given that we haven’t recommended it in a while, we figured we’d give it another shout-out.
When it was released eleven years ago, the big ensemble movie was nominated for just shy of a dozen Oscars. It is based on the true story of an FBI agent who manipulates a couple of con artists to help expose corruption.
