This week, while some of the Malayalam films have already been released on OTT platforms, some are expected to hit the digital space in the upcoming days. The Malayalam survival thriller, Manjummel Boys, which turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office is all set to release on Disney + Hotstar on May 05. The film grossed Rs 240 crore at the ticket window and features an ensemble cast of Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Baly Varghese, and more.
Aasujeevitham is based on Benyamin’s 2008 bestseller of the same name. The film narrates the true story of Najeeb, an Indian labourer coerced into slavery in Saudi Arabia. The film will premiere on Disney + Hotstar on May 5.
Malayalam action comedy film Aavesham stars Fahadh Faasil, Hipzter, Mithun Jai Shankar and Roshan Shanavas in pivotal roles. Helmed by Jithu Madhavan, the film is scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 17.
Directed by Arun Bose, the film Marivillin Gopurangal is all set to release on May 10 on Disney + Hotstar.
Anchakkallakkokkan is classified as a Western crime drama. The film revolves around a landlord who gets murdered on election day and the police force investigates the case. The film delves deep into the suspense and dynamics of intense conflict. The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
