Whether you’re interested in checking out the newest Doctor on Doctor Who, watching Will Forte in the darkly comedic mystery series Bodkin on Netflix, or catching a new season of Pretty Little Liars on Max, there’s plenty to check out on streaming this week. On top of those exciting titles, you might want to catch Hulu’s new documentary Black Twitter: A People’s History, Prime Video’s new reality competition The GOAT, or the newest season of The Chi on Paramount+ with Showtime, too!
Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.
It’s always controversial any time there’s a new Doctor on Doctor Who, but up until now, American audiences haven’t had a way to check out Ncuti Gatwa’s take on the character. This week you can check out the first three episodes of the latest season on Disney+. On Netflix, the crime thriller Bodkin, produced by the Obamas’ Higher Ground production company, dropped all at once on Thursday, and on Max, the season premiere of Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, has also arrived.
Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa has taken over as the new Doctor on Doctor Who for the latest season, which premieres on Disney+ this week. The Doctor is joined by his new companion, Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), in a season helmed by returning showrunner Russell T. Davies, the man responsible for the 2005 revival of the show. Three episodes of Doctor Who will be out this Friday, with new episodes airing weekly after that.
Will Forte’s latest project is the dark thriller Bodkin, a mystery series about a trio of podcasters whose investigation into the disappearance of three strangers in a small Irish town turns up more questions than answers. Forte’s co-stars include Siobhan Cullen and Robyn Cara, and all seven episodes of the show are available now.
Pretty Little Liars: Summer School reunites the five main characters/liars of PLL: Original Sin for yet another battle against the notorious “A”. Forced to spend their summer break together at summer school, the teens are stalked by an entity known as Bloody Rose for a chilling new mystery. Two episodes of the show are out now, and new episodes will air weekly on Thursdays through June 20.
The options above only scratch the surface, so you know that this weekend’s full lineup will have amazing options for what to watch this weekend!
