Saugerties hosting a village-wide, all-ages festival this weekend – Hudson Valley One
“Snow Moon” is the Native American name for the full moon in February, meant to bring comfort and encouragement. Over the last few years, Saugerties has been developing an epic all-ages annual festival around the event. From art exhibitions, comedy shows, and craft activities to outdoor events like a 5K run and a scavenger hunt, the festival offers events as unique as individual snowflakes. Highlights include the “Pajama Onesie Dine Around Party,” where participants can enjoy meals at local restaurants in cozy pajamas, and the “Community Bonfire,” providing a warm gathering spot for attendees. The festival also includes unique events like crafting sessions for creating Yeti Lanterns and indoor pom pom snowball fights, adding a creative twist to traditional winter activities. Each event is designed to bring people together, fostering a sense of community and celebration during the colder months. Proceeds from the festival go to area food banks.
